Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs and produces high quality cardiac ultrasound imaging on patients of all ages.
Assures that professional care is provided and appropriateness of study is maintained.
Demonstrates knowledge of ultrasound system, related cardiac applications and general safety in the workplace, to prevent accidents/injuries.
Assists cardiologist with exams as needed, real time documentation of video and detection of pathology for patients of all ages, following department protocol.
Observes protocols for scanning, measurements and image/anatomy documentation. Provides necessary tape and log identifications.
Performs related diagnostic imaging functions and computer use in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintains appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and the medical record while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
Provides discharge instructions to patients as needed.
Oversees student interns as needed.
Scheduled Hours: 40 hr/wk
Work Shift: Day (no weekends or holidays, no on-call), 8 am - 4 pm.
Experience: Experience with stress echo and bubble studies preferred.
Education Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited Cardiac Ultrasound program.
Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Required:
Massachusetts Cardiovascular Technologist and Technician
RDMS registered or CCI credentialed
BCLS
