Stantec Design Lead (Water/Wastewater Engineering) in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

We are looking for talentedCivil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineers who want to lead project teams,do exciting work and make a big impact.

We partner with the top water clients across the UK,working on some of the largest, most iconic water projects in the industry. We promise to design with community in mindby reducing environmental impacts and improving social impacts, whilst enabling the delivery of sustainable development and infrastructure projects that adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change.

Currently, we are looking for Project Technical Leads / Design Leads with a background in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering to join our team in Newcastle. As Project Technical Lead, you will play a fundamental rolewithin projects to identify innovative and sustainable solutions, plan technical delivery and lead the multidisciplinary team from concept stage through to final implementation.You will work alongside Project Managers to deliver best value and client service excellence, whilst utilisingStantec’s world-class expertise to help you deliver leading edge design.

About you

Weare looking for someone who has a passion for solving engineering problems, the ability to lead and inspire and the confidence to drive through challenging solutions.

To be considered for this role, you willbe a degree qualified (or equivalent)engineerand you will ideally be chartered, or a member of a relevant engineering institution e.g. ICE.Support can be given to achieve this if required. You will also have a strong engineering background in the water industry or experience in a similar role.
