Robert Half Administrative / Patient Services Coordinator I in Newington, Connecticut

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative/Patient Services Coordinator I in New Britain, Connecticut. This role is pivotal in a medical setting, where you will be tasked with maintaining customer service quality, handling patient applications, and managing communication channels.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process patient applications, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

• Oversee the maintenance of precise patient records to facilitate seamless services.

• Handle high volume patient inquiries, providing prompt and empathetic responses.

• Utilize Epic Software to communicate with colleagues, ensuring smooth internal operations.

• Work in a fast-paced call center environment, managing operations and ensuring patient satisfaction.

• Monitor patient accounts proactively and take necessary actions when needed.

• Provide top-tier customer service, fostering a positive environment for all patients.

• Handle financial notes relating to patient accounts, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

• Utilize knowledge of medical coverage policies to assist patients with their queries and concerns.

• Maintain a high level of etiquette in all interactions, ensuring all patients feel valued and heard. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting

• Proficiency in using Epic Software for managing patient records and other administrative tasks

• Familiarity with medical coverage policies and procedures

• Ability to handle financial notes and related paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail

• Experience in call center operations, including managing high volume inbound and outbound calls

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

• Strong organization and multitasking skills to manage various administrative tasks concurrently

• Basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite

• High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education in a relevant field is a plus.
