Robert Half HR Generalist in Newport Beach, California

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a HR Generalist in Newport Beach, California. In this role, you will be actively involved in various aspects of HR functions including compensation and benefit plans, talent acquisition, and employee onboarding. You will also play a pivotal role in promoting HR programs to create a harmonious workplace environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer compensation and benefit plans, ensuring they meet the needs of employees and comply with company policies

• Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes, using your knowledge of current industry trends to attract top talent

• Conduct employee onboarding and organize training and development initiatives, ensuring all new hires feel welcome and are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles

• Provide support to employees on various HR-related topics like leaves and compensation, and resolve any issues that may arise promptly

• Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace, fostering a positive company culture

• Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies, ensuring they align with company objectives

• Undertake tasks around performance management, helping to establish clear expectations and goals for employees

• Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics such as time to hire and employee turnover rates, using this data to inform HR strategies and initiatives

• Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and recognizing employee achievements

• Maintain accurate employee files and records in both electronic and paper form, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and complies with legal requirements

• Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits, and organizing team-building activities

• Ensure compliance with labor regulations, keeping abreast of any changes in legislation that could impact the company. Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Familiarity with Ceridian and HRMS software

• Knowledge of About Time management software

• Ability to perform Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration tasks

• Understanding of Compliance regulations and procedures in HR

• Demonstrated expertise in managing Employee Relations

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

• Proven experience as an HR Generalist

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational and time management abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of labor laws and employment legislation

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
