Testing Required: On-Site Role: Must be available to work on-site at this assigned work location. Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.
Job Summary Responsible for nuclear plant forced and planned outage planning and execution consistent with nuclear industry standards and common practices.
Key Accountabilities
Oversees nuclear plant activities related to planned and forced outage work, ensuring the safe and reliable plant operation per our operating license. Keeps site senior management informed of all conditions or situations which could affect the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Manages outage planning activities to prioritize, obtain needed personnel, attain material support, and provide organizational leadership to maintain outage work activities on schedule. Direct critical path activities to resolve conflicts in schedule performance, procurement review, and material acquisitions and obtain appropriate management attention to major outage issues to meet the outage goals and schedule restart dates. Direct and manage pre-outage planning. Provides recommendations to Management for when to schedule planned outages and the duration of those outages. Manages costs within approved budget and continuously strives for additional effectiveness and methods to control costs and reduce budget on an annual basis. Annual budget typically in excess of $30M O&M and $6M Capital. Maintains a workforce that is fully trained and qualified and possesses necessary technical skills to successfully perform assigned duties.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent GED 10 years of Nuclear Power Plant experience within operations, maintenance, work management, quality or engineering, including a minimum of four years of experience in the discipline supervised. 3 years of supervisory experience
Other Qualifications
Preferred Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent field Currently hold or previously held an SRO license

Must be cognizant of all plan safety procedures and regulations. Must meet regulatory and training requirements per Fermi procedures. Must be able to pass all phases of In-Processing including background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate radiation worker/respiratory training and be medically certifiable.
