Assistant Superintendent
Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team in the Newport News Shipyard project. This role involves being part of a complete build for a ship garage, one of the many exciting projects you will be involved in. Excellent listening and verbal and written communication skills are crucial for this role, along with a minimum of 2+ years experience as an Assistant Superintendent with a general contractor.
Top Skills & Qualifications
Overseeing and managing other staff members on project
2+ years as Assistant Superintendent for a general contractor
Experience in managing and coordinating all trades partners and subcontractors
Experience on projects in the $10 M- $20 M range is a plus
Federal experience is preferred but not required
OSHA training required
Ability to read and understand technical specifications and architectural drawings
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam and various scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, Phoenix)
Experience with Building Information Modeling
Excellent listening skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
Active participant in a team environment
Work Environment
