Exciting times at Aery!We are seeking to hire multiple Electronic Warfare and Special Mission Operators who will support in our partnership with the U.S. Government - Navy in Electronic Warfare (EW), Electronic Attack (EA), and Special Mission (SM) technical operations under theHigh Endurance Electronic Warfare Jet (HEEWJ)Contract located to in Newport News, VA.

The selected individual will look to help support in the design, development, procurement, integration, testing, operational tasks as well as the support of RDTandE missions. Full and part-time hours are available and locations will be based in either Newport News, VA, or San Diego, CA.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Senior Base EWO in safely achieving the daily flying program by planning, briefing, operating, and debriefing each mission flown directly with the customer communities.
  • Ensure learning points are identified and communicated to the customer community
  • Cover weekly and daily mission planning duties as directed by the respective Senior Base EWO.
  • Assist Senior Base EWO in customer liaisons between users by providing specialist advice on Electronic Warfare and, when qualified, Target Towing (TT).
  • Assist Senior Base EWO in the organization and/or implementation of visits or presentations for customers and other agencies.
  • Assist Senior Base EWO in supporting Aery's wider Business Development activity, if required as a core subject matter expert.
  • Assist Senior Base EWO in mutually agreed specialist tasks such as manager responsible for internal training provision, management of specialist ground equipment, sortie planning assets, or security custodian.
  • Support Senior Base EWO in ensuring that company and national safety and security procedures are followed at all times.
  • Operate in accordance with Air Legislation and relevant company Operations Manuals
  • Utilize Company procedures to report non-compliance, safety, and security matters in a timely fashion.

Qualifications (Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and certifications/licenses):

  • Previous/current employment within the US or other military forces preferred; though, not required for consideration.
  • Must be of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret U.S. Security Clearance
  • Drug-Free Workplace Drug Testing Program participation required.
  • Experience as military frontline aircrew, preferably from EA-6B, EF-111, B-1B, B-52, F-18G, Compass Call or other platforms/systems - alternative electronic warfare specialist areas would also be considered including, but not limited to: Weapons Systems Officers/ Operators, Radar Intercept Officers, SIGINT, etc.
  • Experience maintaining EW systems, pods, or other weapon systems.
  • Good situational awareness and the capability to build mental 3D air pictures.
  • Current understanding and ability to use NATO and US standard Air-to-Air communication and codewords.
  • Sound knowledge of the principles and practical experience of EW.
  • A reasonable understanding of Air Defense systems, ship, aircraft, and ground radars, their modes of operation, tactics, and Electronic Defense features is required.
  • Ability to employ techniques and tactics for creating a representative Electronic Attack environment.

Annual Training Requirements (Subject to Change):

  • AS and ISO requisite training
  • Blue Tuna FAA Part 145 Training
  • Aery Quality/Technical Training

Additional Position Requirements:

  • Occasionally requir d to lift and/or move bulky items more than 50 pounds.
  • Requires working knowledge of current EW techniques and tactics
  • Ability to occasionally travel domestically and internationally for several weeks per deployment
