Naval Education and Training Command UNDERSEA WARFARE CURRICULUM MANAGER in Newport, Rhode Island

Summary You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (UNDERSEA WARFARE) in the SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL COMMAND of SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL. Responsibilities You will collect and arrange material in conducting training courses for assigned subject matter area. You will prepare assessment reports for assigned programs to support an installation's mission readiness status. You will alter training plans to align with organizational goals. You will develop guidance on training processes and requirements for new and existing training initiatives. You will use rules and regulations to provide a framework for technical guidance given to management in establishing new or modified training procedures, systems, or controls. You will analyze effectiveness of training to recommend alternatives or changes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supporting various facets of instructional systems analysis, design and development, including other complex issues/areas that are related to the Maritime Warfare curriculum technology, design, and maintenance;2) Developing curriculum according to Navy Standards in the areas within the Department Head training continuum; 3) Providing continuous high-level, trusted advice and technical assistance regarding curriculum analysis, design, development, implementation, instruction, and assessment in Maritime Warfare courses of instruction; 4)Analyzing courses of instruction and course reviews compiled from student critiques, instructor evaluations and command monitors to provide valuable feedback and recommendations to supervisors; 5) Working independently or in concert with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to develop course material (task analysis, learning objectives, course master schedules, lessons, instructional aids, training plans, test banks, etc.).
