GKN Automotive Maintenance Technician - Facility - 1st Shift - P1 in Newton, North Carolina
Operate and maintain Waste Water treatment and building HVAC.
Maintain Compressor systems and Chilled Water systems.
Repair and maintain Building electrical systems and plumbing systems.
Respond to emergency repair request.
Assist with equipment relocation and installation.
Understand and comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures.
Understand and employ all required safety guards and devices.
Utilize proper Authorized Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
Comply with confined space entry program.
Sets the example when it comes to compliance on safety issues.
Drives continuous improvement in quality and safety.
Responsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED with additional courses and certification in industrial or mechanical technologies. Maintenance Mechanic Training or equivalent combination of education and on the job experience. Minimum of 2 years of related job experience.
Desirable Qualification - Two year technical degree in related field.
