Actalent Architectural Designer in Newtown, Connecticut

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop design concepts that meet their requirements.

  • Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, and 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.

  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information and ensure designs are feasible and compliant with local regulations.

  • Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects.

  • Prepare and present design proposals, including renderings and presentations, to clients and stakeholders.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and best practices to ensure designs are innovative and compliant.

  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on design-related issues and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an Architectural Designer or similar role.

  • Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Creative and innovative thinking with a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
