JOB TITLE: Human Resource GeneralistCLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-ExemptPROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Human Resources IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Human ResourcesPOSITION SUMMARY: The HR Generalist provides assistance in the multiple and varied human resource functional areas with the goal of ensuring the HR Department runs smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the Agency. These functional areas include but are not limited to assisting in talent acquisition and recruitment processes, hiring, orientation and onboarding, employee benefits administration, training and development, performance monitoring, employee relations, labor relations and development and implementation of policies/procedures.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education, Training & Experience:Associate’s DegreeTwo (2) years Human Resource Management experienceOrHigh School Diploma/GEDThree (3) years Human Resource Management experiencePreferred Education, Training & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related fieldOne (1) year Human Resource Management experience ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to promote a positive and effective team environment with all levels of staffAbility and willingness to communicate in a positive and professional mannerKnowledgeable in federal and New York State employment, employee benefits and labor lawStrong organizational skills and ability to plan, multi-task, and manage time effectivelyAbility to maintain strict confidentialityDemonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and in internet use/portal data entry SALARY:$20-$29 per hour starting rate based on experience Full Job
