Tioga Downs is searching for both Full-Time and Part-Time Estheticians to join our team at Serenity Spa located in our hotel. Our Estheticians are employees of the company who are paid for all time worked, not by appointments booked. There are no booth rental fees and all supplies are provided. You keep what you earn!
The Esthetician delivers an exceptional experience to all guests by administering professional facials, waxing services, and select body treatments. The esthetician must possess a thorough knowledge of the skin, have excellent facial massage and skin extraction techniques, possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills, and be willing to train our spa’s specific facial treatment offerings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the products and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness and beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guests.
•Provide consistent professional facial and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
•Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
•Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.
•Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by the law and spa’s policies and procedures, performing prep work and properly cleaning and restocking as required.
• Handle client questions and concerns professionally and courteously, c ommunicating to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
•Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions, home care programs, and retail, as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.
•Possess the ability to work with or without direct supervision.
•Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
•Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED or higher required
Strong customer service background preferred. Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge
Must hold and maintain a current New York State Esthetics License OR
Have a current Esthetics License from a state which offers Endorsement and be willing to get licensed in NY prior to employment (Ex: hold current Esthetics License in PA and an official letter of good standing (certification), dated within 6 months, from the Appearance Enhancement Board where you are currently licensed)
