What You Will Do:

This is an exciting position for a Health & Safety Manager to join QTS Data Centers during a period of unprecedented growth leading to an exceptional professional development opportunity. QTS is seeking an early H&S career professional in the Eemshaven area with experience in occupational, environmental, health, and safety. Must be capable and willing to be hands-on with supporting the continued development of QTS’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs. Under the direction of QTS’s VP Facility Property Engineering team partnering with the US EHS Team, the candidate responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.

Providing environmental, health, and safety support to data center management to ensure compliance with state and local regulations

Instructing and mentoring employees on suitable health and safety practices

Conducting routine facility inspections and assessments to recognize, identify, and mitigate potential EHS concerns and hazards

Developing and maintaining EHS-related metrics for tracking and reporting

Identifying and proposing corrective actions and solutions for EHS hazards and risks identified during assessments

Supporting and overseeing the preparation and submission of appropriate regulatory documents

Providing oversight of data center environmental permits to support compliance with all permit application and reporting to meet regulatory requirements

Lead investigations of incidents and near misses to identify root causes and help management develop corrective actions

Monitoring potential exposures to certain chemical and/or physical hazards to determine the need for, and establishment of suitable controls

Supporting written EHS program development and updates

Promoting a culture of awareness and empowerment for driving sound safety performance

Attending seminars/workshops for further educational development

WHO YOU ARE:

2+ years of direct EHS related experience

HBO degree (Integrale Veiligheidskundge or Middlebare Veiligheidskunde preferred)

Working knowledge and experience in general industry health and safety processes, procedures, and requirements

Comfortable in both Dutch and English

May be required for regional support. Estimated at 10-25% travel.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Strong communication and written skills

Able to work effectively in a team environment.

Attention to detail will be critical to the success of projects

Demonstrated ability to prioritize, set, and meet targets

Self-motivated with a proven ability to achieve results

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities

WHAT WE OFFER:

Working days Monday up to Friday.

25 Paid time off + 8% holiday allowance.

The contract is for the duration of one year, after which extension is possible.

The salary is a maximum of € 5.000,- gross per month for a full-time job (40 hours).
