Primary Responsibilities:
Delivery:
Lead a diversified team of Accounting, Financial Operations and System Support
Set goals and performance measures to enable meeting Optum RX strategic initiatives
Drive execution of the operations to ensure that the business expectations & SLA’s are constantly met / exceeded
Partner with Optum RX leadership to help grow OGA team in line with strategic vision
Collaborate with functional areas within Optum Rx Finance & Accounting (e.g., PBM, Infusion, Specialty, Rebate, Financial Data Management & corporate accounting teams) and establish solid working relationships with senior stakeholders
Problem solving, operational transition and accounting issues
Conduct financial analysis to support decision making and strategic planning, identify opportunities for cost management
Provide operational and technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with GAAP, Company policies, and various applicable rules and regulations including audit support
Resourcing:
Build a solid team, drive employee engagement practices, talent management and drive employee retention
Supervise and mentor accounting, financial ops and system support staff, providing guidance and support in day-to-day activities. Foster culture of continuous improvement and development within the team
Provide leadership and be accountable for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff
Collaborate with business teams to implement an effective global staff recognition process
Demonstrate flexibility and manage time-zone differences, effectively
Transformational:
Integration with business by understanding their Challenge and Opportunities Evaluating and driving process improvement as per business prioritization
Support business transformation programs through engagement of the FinTech team across location
Drive process improvements and strengthen the control environment around key finance processes
Strategy:
Participate in business goal setting sessions on Global delivery
Set & manage business expectations in conjunction with senior executives
Be a change agent to drive awareness about global locations, culture to promote a solid “One teamwork” environment

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CA/CPA/CMA or other equivalent licensure or certification is required; Active status preferred
12+ years demonstrated progression in Accounting, financial reporting and analysis
7+ years supervisory experience
Hands-on experience of working in ERP environment (SAP/PeopleSoft/ Oracle)
Solid working knowledge of GAAP; ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate with varying levels of employees and senior management to drive sound business decisions
Excellent PC skills: Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Hyperion, Essbase, Word, and other financial reporting tools
Proven solid commitment to quality and accuracy
Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive detailed data
Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet internal deadlines, work effectively under pressure
Proven ability to effectively summarize and articulate results
Preferred Qualification:
- Knowledge of accounting and healthcare
