Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain Datastage applications

  • Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established Agile processes

  • Establish, refine, and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed

  • Proactively identify and fix production and non-production application issues

  • Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of Datastage developed projects

  • Provide technical support and consultation for Datastage application and infrastructure questions

  • Design, code, test, debug, document and support all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value

  • Contribute to development team and help to achieve key business objectives

  • Collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision-making

  • Design and implement application enhancements in collaboration with different teams

  • Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences

  • Ensure timely deliveries for all assigned tasks as per SLA

  • Participate in SCRUM meetings, Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness reviews for new releases

  • Achieve harmonious working relationships with business partners and within team

  • Create or update all the engineering documents as per the established process

  • Design or update the Unix scripts to meet the business requirements

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Datastage development

  • Working knowledge on Agile or Kanban methodology

  • Working knowledge on PySpark or Scala and Cloud technologies

  • Knowledge on scheduler - preferably Airflow

  • Healthcare domain knowledge

  • Knowledge on IBM Mainframe and Python

  • Understanding of cloud technologies

  • Proven ability to design Technical Specification documents and provide review/walkthrough to the team

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimum lead supervision

  • Proven good in basic SQL writing skills

  • Proven good in basic Unix scripting

  • Proven good in communication and able to handle client’s queries effectively

  • Proven open to work in Operations support model

  • Proven process improvement thinking
