We are made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Automation Experts and we care deeply about the people who use our products. The SII team plays an integral part in gathering insights about the needs and challenges of our users to inspire and inform design. We collaborate closely with each other and with engineering and product management to create industry-leading products that deliver value for the people who use them, as well as for Siemens' DI business.

What part will you play?

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Strategic Innovation Expert in the field of User Experience (UX) to join our team. This role is instrumental in driving forward-thinking UX strategies that align with our business goals and enhance the overall user journey. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.

  • Strategic Development: Contribute to the creation and implementation of long-term UX innovation strategies that align with company objectives.

  • Innovation: With your expertise and your skillset, you will develop user-centric solutions together with our partners and accompany innovations and evolutions throughout the entire development and process chain. By increasing communication and connection points, between relevant DI stakeholders and partners you implement a sustainable culture of user centered development and innovation.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential disruptions in the UX landscape. Use these insights to inform strategic decisions.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure UX innovation is seamlessly integrated into all stages of product development. Example: Facilitating workshops to align cross-functional teams on UX goals.

  • User Research and Insights: Lead user research initiatives to gather deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Translate these insights into strategic recommendations and actionable improvements.

  • Innovation Projects: Drive high-impact innovation projects from concept to execution. Example: Spearheading the design and launch of a new customer feedback system incorporating real-time sentiment analysis.

  • Thought Leadership: Promote the importance of UX innovation within the company through presentations, workshops, and written communications. Stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends and best practices.

  • Metrics and KPIs: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of UX initiatives. Use data to iterate and improve strategies continuously.

What you need to make real what matters.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in UX design or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative UX projects that have driven significant business results.

  • Skills: Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of UX design principles and methodologies. Proven experience in conducting and applying user research and usability testing.

  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to articulate strategic concepts and foster buy-in from stakeholders at all levels.

  • Innovation: Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and think outside the box. Experience in exploring and implementing new technologies and tools and design paradigms to enhance user experiences.

  • Visionary mindset: Visionary mindset with the ability to articulate and execute a clear UX vision. Ability to convince and enthuse people across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.

  • Ownership & Cross collaboration: You will take ownership of your accounts and work collaboratively with other UX strategy team members and colleagues from various disciplines to achieve our business goals.
