Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with 6+ years if experience in support of one of are large federal clients in Virginia Beach, VA. This candidate will be supporting and be responsible for designing electrical board layouts base off of embedded blueprint designs. This engineer will be working in a collaborative environment that allows them to work on defining requirements, attending and participating in scrum meetings and perform tasks within compartmentalized sections of work in a functional test lab. Their day-to-day will include and not limited to:

Independently design electronic circuits, components, and integrated systems, leveraging properties such as ferroelectric, nonlinear, dielectric, phosphorescent, photo-conductive, and thermoelectric.

Design test control apparatus and equipment, establish testing procedures, and oversee the fabrication process by engineering personnel. Manage field operations and maintenance of electronic installations.

Evaluate operational systems and recommend design modifications to address malfunctions or adapt to changing system requirements.

Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform various engineering tasks.

Engage in the research and analysis of customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess design feasibility or application.

Collaborate with other engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, ensuring the operational and performance requirements of the overall system are met.

Develop and maintain documentation to describe program development, testing, changes, and corrections.

Write or review installation and operating procedure documentation.

Compensation:

$85k to $100k per year annual salary.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

· Bachelor of Science degree in electrical/electronics engineering or electrical/electronics engineering technology.

· Six (6) + years of professional engineering design experience in one of the following areas:

• CCA (circuit cart assemblies)

• Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Interface protocols (I/O)

• Digital design using state-of-the art microprocessors; analog, power and/or RF design

· Experience with designing board layouts and schematics. Experience within the DoD null
