Job Description
The Department of STEM Education & Professional Studies seeks applicants for a 10-month faculty position as a Lecturer of Library & Information Studies to start July 25, 2025. The primary responsibilities for this position are:
To develop and teach graduate, distance learning courses in library and information studies.
To participate in the administration and recruitment initiatives of the Master of Library and Information Studies program.
To develop and maintain relationships with employers in libraries, archives, and other related institutions to assist with recruitment, program growth, and placements.
To participate in the professional and intellectual community through service in the program, department, and college.

Minimum required education and/or special licenses, registrations, trainings, or certifications
The minimum requirement for this position is a Master of Library Science or equivalent degree from a program accredited by the American Library Association.
Minimum required level and type of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities
The candidate should demonstrate evidence of:
Experience teaching online, graduate-level courses.
Evidence of teaching ability in library, information, archival and/or technology studies.
Professional experience in academic, public, school, or special libraries or other information fields.
Demonstrated breadth of knowledge of the library profession.
Excellence in written and oral communication.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Library & Information Studies or related area of study.
Experience teaching in an online, asynchronous environment.
Evidence of a commitment to student success.
