Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Norfolk, Virginia

Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, including poppers, kettle-coaters, and bagging machines.

  • Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain the 25,000 square foot facility, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and general building upkeep.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

  • Collaboration: Work with production staff to identify and resolve equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise and accurate maintenance tasks.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Industrial Setting: Typically involves working in a manufacturing facility.

  • Safety Gear: Required to wear protective equipment and follow safety protocols.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
