Description

We are inviting applications for the position of Sr. Accountant in our Manufacturing unit located in Norfolk, Virginia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our monthly close process, analyzing product line results, and maintaining compliance with IFRS standards. A significant part of this role involves interacting with leadership and product line management, developing new reporting formats, and contributing to the development of companywide financial policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in the monthly close process for product lines, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.

• Assist with reporting responsibilities to Financial Reporting team.

• Develop new reporting formats with product line management to identify drivers of monthly results.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of companywide financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Participate in the planning and execution of all phases of the midyear review and year-end external audit process.

• Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and engage with product line field management to understand monthly business activity.

• Coordinate with the Financial Planning and Analytics team to ensure consistency in financial reporting, key performance indicators, and financial measures.

• Engage with leadership to develop insightful analysis and understand the underlying reasons for financial results.

• Participate in regular product line team meetings to understand key initiatives, business issues, and develop relationships with team members.

Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Accountant role within the Manufacturing industry

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated ability to manage General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is required

• Familiarity with NetSuite and Oracle software is preferred

• Knowledge of IFRS Accounting and IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Stds is essential

• Proficiency in SAP FICO is a significant advantage
