Why Kitchen Steward?

The Kitchen Steward is an essential role to the operation. The Kitchen Steward ensures that all guests have an excellent experience through performing kitchen duties related to maintaining kitchen work areas, restaurant and kitchen equipment.

Work Performed:

The Kitchen Steward is tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, food storage areas, walk-in fridges, freezers, ovens, and dry storage cupboards;

  • Clean, sanitize, and store dishes, glasses, utensils, and other kitchen equipment in the designated areas;

  • Hand-wash pots, pans, and trays per the prescribed standard;

  • Manage trash and garbage (including separating), clean cans, and maintain loading dock;

  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas;

  • Complete regular sanitization/disinfection of all kitchen and food and beverage work areas that include flooring, storerooms, prep areas, buffets, dining tables, and equipment;

  • Assist with food dish-up, set-up sheets, and set-up and break-down for various events; and

  • Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

Qualifications:

  • Required Licenses/ Certification: Cleveland County Food Handler Certification acquired upon hire during onboarding.

  • Preferred Education: High School diploma or equivalent

  • Physical: Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds regularly, Ability to bend and squat repeatedly, Ability to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift

Availability: Flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
