Aerotek Metal Operator in North Kansas City, Missouri
Aerotek is seeking metal/steel operators to work in North KCMO!
Description:
Will be helping operator with steel cutting machine, will be working some on the computer
Band bundles of tubes and move them to cutting process or to storage
Work from rolling schedules to ensure that proper size, gauge, length, and material bundle configuration is being processed
Perform visual inspection on tubes
Provides quality assurance inspections and provides ideas on changes to ensure end product meets specification
Visually inspect finished goods for quality defects and reject non-conforming product i.e., scratches, die marks, weld splits, and end cut conditions
Identify steel shapes, sizes, and mill tolerances
Prepare / stack / assemble bundles correctly to protect product from damage
Repacking and banding – repack tubing into bundles, pack, and / or band bundles according to customer requirements
Work directly with mill operator on set ups
Supply tube mill machinery with coils of steel
Help receive and unload incoming material from suppliers
