Opportunity Overview
Are you a new college graduate with a passion for writing and technology? Do you enjoy creating clear and engaging documentation for complex products and systems? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a technical writer to join our team and help us produce high-quality documentation for the programmers of our Automated Test Equipment (ATE). You will work closely with developers, engineers, product managers, and the marketing team to understand their needs and translate them into user-friendly help content, tutorials, FAQs, and more.
Responsibilities:
Plan, write, edit, and maintain technical documentation for various software products, hardware instruments and test system platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze information, identify user requirements, and ensure accuracy and consistency of content.
Apply best practices and standards for technical writing, such as style, tone, format, and terminology.
Use appropriate tools and technologies to create, manage, and publish documentation in HTML5 / XML format.
Review and update existing documentation to reflect changes, enhancements, and feedback.
Conduct quality assurance checks and user testing to ensure usability and functionality of the documentation.
Research and stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and best practices in technical writing and the ATE industry.

Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, communication, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Within commuting distance to one of our offices in North Reading, MA, Agoura Hills, CA, or St. Pete/Tampa, FL
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content for technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and quality.
Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies, such as agile, scrum, and waterfall.
Familiarity with software documentation tools and technologies, such as Markdown, HTML, XML, Git, Jira, and oXygen.
Familiarity with software products and platforms, such as Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, web, cloud, and mobile.
Portfolio of previous technical writing samples or projects.
