We are currently seeking a

Business Unit Lead (m/w/d) Genitourinary

located in Neuss, Germany (full-time 100%).

Key Accountabilities /Responsibilities

  • Ensure short- and long-term success of the Lymphoma Business Unit in Germany with the product IMBRUVICA and fulfill respective financial commitments.

  • Lead the BU through solid lines (Marketing functions, Sales) and the cross functional team through "dotted lines" (Medical Lead, MSL Lead, Country HEMAR manager, Bl&A Manager)

  • Drive development and alignment of individual product strategies in the competitive market, as well as delegate tactical decisions for the product

  • Develop and break down strategy in alignment with the overall hematology strategies and align with OpCo strategy and Therapeutic Area (TA) strategy at EMEA level.

  • Monitors competitive trends and market behavior to communicate market intelligence to top management.

  • Control implementation of BU strategy in cooperation with cross-functional teams, as well as BU relevant commercial activities in the German OpCo.

  • Set targets and align these with Medical & Scientific Affairs (MSA), Health Economics Market Access & Reimbursement (HEMAR), Business Excellence and other functions in the Janssen Germany Operating Company.

  • Align BU strategy with Commercial Director, TA Director and BUL colleagues within Janssen Oncology and ensure cross-functional alignment with the respective Directors in Market Access and Medical Affairs.

  • Ensure high quality business planning and forecasting (with full P&L responsibility for all Lymphoma products), including resource allocation at BU level.

  • Responsibility for business goals and developing solutions that always meet and often exceed expectations.

  • Represent the German OpCo in the IBVT’s on EMEA level and contribute to TA/product strategy according to the Phoenix model by driving ESO brand strategies in respective squads.

  • Implement of agile ways of working to ensure optimal management of a growing and complex portfolio of marketed products and future line extensions.

  • Establish a good customer network and maintain frequent contacts with external stakeholders / KOLs.

  • Ensures that commercial lymphoma team is adequately staffed with enthusiastic, high performing individuals with integrity, commitment, good teamworking and communication skills.

  • Ascertains rewarding, retention and succession planning and development plans are in place.

  • Provides support, guidance, and direction to team employees.

  • Ensures the lymphoma organization and structure meet requirements and employs commercial leaders producing high quality work in line with Credo, policies, procedures.

  • Represent Janssen in the market.

Qualifications

Experience & Expected Leadership Behaviors

  • University degree in business administration, medicine, or natural sciences.

  • At least 8 years of professional experience in Marketing & Sales/Sales Management or a comparable position. This includes experience of product launches and line extensions (minimum 5 years at managerial level).

  • Very good command of English & German.

  • Very good command of healthcare systems, market access and the regulations

  • People Leadership Profile is expected.

  • Advanced skills to handle a range of complex relationships/issues/ projects simultaneously (maintain focus on goals without losing sight of details and remains resilient).

  • Leadership and managerial experience with evidence of successful talent development, motivates and enables others to achieve the desired goal.

  • Proven influential skills at senior level needed.

  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills with ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of company and external stakeholders.

  • Analytical thinking skills & result oriented.
