Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

The Oracle Dedicated Cloud Product Solutions Engineering team is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Technical Program Manager to work with strategic customers on both Dedicated Region Cloud @Customer (https://www.oracle.com/cloud/cloud-at-customer/dedicated-region/) (DRCC) and Oracle Alloy (https://www.oracle.com/cloud/alloy/) . You will work directly with customers to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of these offerings. You will provide critical feedback to sister teams to help streamline requirements and collaborate on solutions.

This requires both technical and programmatic knowledge as you will face a broad range of requirements posed by our customers with the challenge of establishing a path forward. Understanding the technical dependencies of a service will ensure you can identify the right resources required, while an aptitude for critical thinking and context switching will help you prioritize.

A successful candidate shows good judgement and has strong empathy with the customer. Must have excellent analytical and technical skills with the experience in managing cross functional teams in complex technology projects as a collaborative leader. Equally important is a proven track record of establishing positive relationships with customers, external and third parties, internal product teams, support organization, and executive stakeholders in all forms of communication. The candidate must be able to speak Japanese.

Responsibilities

  1. Own and drive the customer program from contract signature through to delivery, focusing on delivering customer outcomes for the JAPAC territory

  2. Partner with Product Managers and Product Solution Engineers to document, organize, and drive delivery of a diverse set of business and technical customer requirements.

  3. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product delivery as a program lead on schedule and within defined program constraints.

  4. Assign and monitor work of engineering and program staff, providing technical support and direction while reporting to C-level staff on regular basis.

  5. Manage regular communications both with the customer and with internal stakeholders

  6. Work collaboratively with your team, cross-functional leaders in OCI and partners and customers to define clear solutions and strategies around Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

  7. Manage executive communication on status and KPIs for strategic customers deploying with OCI

  8. Document and maintain key customer support assets such as run books and support procedures

  9. Present to customers at multiple levels, from engineers up to CxO

Qualifications

· 10+ years of experience in an IT, platform environment working with large Enterprises

· 5+ years of program management in an Engineering organization

· A good understanding of cloud competitive landscape; customer priorities and challenges

· Fluent in Japanese (speaking and written) and English

· Strong technical acumen of cloud technologies and concepts

· Strong Communication, Presentation, and speaking skills

· Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
