Northwestern District Attorneys Office Administrative Assistant in Northampton, Massachusetts

GREENFIELD/NORTHAMPTON Administrative Assistant POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Victim Witness Assistance Unit (VWAU), including on-site work in both Hampshire and Franklin County offices, and the Elders and Persons with Disabilities Unit (EPDU). QUALIFICATIONS: Associate\'s degree Highly organized Ability to multi-task Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and patiently in-person and on the phone to a diverse population Must be able to demonstrate professional discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times Bilingual Spanish fluency strongly preferred. SALARY: Range of \$45,000 - \$50,000 plus medical and other employee benefits. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILILTIES: Input and update victim/witness contact information in the DAMION case management system; Generate letters to victims/witnesses on behalf of advocates for their signature and mailing; Print daily court lists, pull and prepare advocate case files for court; Separate and distribute incoming mail for the VWAU; Answer, triage and transfer incoming VWAU phone calls/voicemails; Prepare and send correspondence for the VWAU Director; Assist VWAU Director in scheduling of meetings and preparation of materials for meetings/trainings; Assist in the collection and reporting of statistical data for the VWAU; Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of the VWAU; Initiate new EPDU investigations and charged cases in the DAMION case management system and the EPDU case database; Perform other administrative tasks for the EPDU; Cover the front desk/reception area as needed; and Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Director of the VWAU or the District Attorney.
