Allergy and Immunology Associates of New Certified Medical Assistant in Northampton, Massachusetts
Certified Medical Assistant The pay range for this position is \$21 - \$23 hr. Hours are Mon - Fri, no nights or weekends. MA\'s at our practice can be expected to prepare exam rooms and medical records, assist providers in obtaining accurate patient history, perform allergy testing, request medication or treatment prior authorizations, and ensure that patients understand follow up instructions. The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to prioritize tasks in order of urgency or deadline. Essential Job Functions - Obtains medical history and prepares patients for examination. - Accurately obtains patient vitals; o2, BP, HR, spirometry - Performs various allergy testing and limited in office procedures. - Prepares, stocks, and maintains exam room inventory and cleanliness. - Recognize and respond to verbal, non-verbal, and written communication. - Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments. - Ensures patient understanding of treatments; such as Immunotherapy.
