Robert Half Family Immigration Paralegal in Northbrook, Illinois
Description We are in the process of hiring a Family Immigration Paralegal based in Northbrook, Illinois. The role primarily revolves around handling matters related to family immigration and citizenship. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Handle family immigration cases and assist in the preparation of forms.
• Work closely with clients to gather necessary information for filing documents.
• Assist in the adjustment of immigration status processes.
• Assemble necessary packages for immigration proceedings.
• Handle family-based petitions and contribute to case management.
• Utilize skills in immigration law and family law in handling cases.
• Use Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), CompuLaw, and other case management software for efficient case handling.
• Execute billing functions, briefing, calendar management, and claim administration tasks.
• Exhibit strong communication skills in all interactions with clients and team members. Requirements • Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), and Case Management Software
• Familiarity with CompuLaw and experience handling Billing Functions
• Capability to prepare Briefing documents and manage Calendars effectively
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comprehensive knowledge of Immigration Law and Family Law
• Proficiency in Claim Administration
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
• Bachelor’s degree in law, paralegal studies or related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
