Our business systems include platforms and technologies such as SAP, SmartSolve, QMS, Factoryworks, and athenaIDX.

Digital Technology – Director of Business Systems

The Director of Business Systems is a leadership role focused on developing and delivering business and technology programs on our ERP and Revenue management platforms.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Sets the vision, strategy and roadmap of IT Business Systems team serving Diabetes operating unit globally.

  • Provides technology leadership for those involved in the development, design, delivery, and optimization of Business systems primarily SAP that supports supply chain, quality, manufacturing, finance, and regulatory affairs. Helps to define and develop business value stream blueprint.

  • Manages team members, vendors, matrixed resources to deliver on Diabetes goals and objectives as it relates to application development and enhancement, large scale business system programs and high performance of SAP platform.

  • Develops innovative solutions to business problems keeping global perspective and customer centric approach in mind.

  • Performs analysis, selection, and modification of enterprise systems and application software to meet business needs.

  • Navigates priorities between transformation programs vs day to-day operational needs to ensure smooth business continuity while driving long term value.

  • Drives accountability for projects and program deliverables and ensure they meet the commitments made to stakeholders and customers.

  • Coordinates cross functional delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted.

  • Guides the team to protect the company's data, tools, and information systems.

  • Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility.

  • Provides motivational, thought, and technical leadership to the team.

  • Drives innovation across the business area, encouraging best practice and knowledge sharing.

  • Builds long term strategic relationships and alliances with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Communicates and conducts briefings with senior or executive leadership regarding ongoing operations and strategic initiatives.

  • Produces workforce and staffing plans to accomplish business results. Hire, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience

Nice to Have:

  • Broad management and leadership knowledge to lead multiple global teams, and detailed functional and operational expertise in digital transformation and customer experience.

  • Background in information technology and/or technology consulting firms

  • Proven experience in developing and presenting strategic vision story and corresponding business values to senior leadership and C-suite executives. SAP implementation, Product Go-To-Market strategy, and Global sourcing strategies.

  • Knowledgeable in (one or more areas) SAP ERP in one or more sub domain areas like Finance and Controlling, Supply Chain, Treasury and Tax, and Forecasting, Revenue Cycle Management systems like athenaIDX, ERP platform integrations with 3rd party tools, and applications leveraging platforms like Mulesoft, WebMethods, SAP Integration suite. Understanding as-is business process, identifying process gaps, and advocating for re-engineering process if needed. Transforming the organization in areas of DevOps, Automation, Cloud/ AI

  • Experience in leading global teams in medical device, pharmacuetical, healthcare, and/or regulated industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively work in a matrix organization and positively influence strategy and outcomes.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with focus on improved system performance outcomes and positive business impact.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills (timely, clear, concise, accurate, conclusive, influential, targeted to audience).

  • Good negotiation skills to align and work towards shared outcome-based goals.

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
