A Day in the Life
Works with the project Packaging Engineer to create and release labeling components interfacing with product development teams, manufacturing sites, regulatory and reliability engineers
• Creates or supports development of various required labeling components, including labeling design input requirements, label content specifications and final label image specifications.
• Develops plan, manages and monitors timelines and process of new and revised labeling ensuring all deadlines are met
• Reviews, and releases labeling for package labels ensuring that they meet all documented design inputs
• Identifies potential improvements to the labeling development processes, tools and/or policies.
• Coordinates the translations of package labeling through internal or external sources
• Works with labeling system database(s) related to development of required label information
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Creates, reviews, and reproduces text required for labeling medical products.
Ensures that labeling, art, film, and plate proofs meet all medical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Monitors changes in labeling regulations in the US and abroad.
Reviews promotional and commercial communication material and ensures that it is supported by the data and consistent with the application.
Monitor, evaluate, and recommend improving labeling processes, quality, systems tools, and policies.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Requires a Baccalaureate degree
Minimum of 2 years of packaging engineering experience
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in labeling, package engineering, publishing, or relevant industry
Comfortable learning and using new computer systems and programs
Highly detail oriented
Experience working in business systems including Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
Experience working with global teams
Previous Package labeling experience in a regulated industry
Experience working with Adobe Illustrator and/or other graphic design programs
Knowledge of US and international medical device regulations and standards, especially those related to labeling
Experience in proofreading/editing
Experience in Agile

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$71,200.00 - $106,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
