Sleep Medicine/Pediatrics Faculty Opening – Norwalk Hospital - Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)

Norwalk Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, has as excellent opportunity for a part-time (0.6 FTE) , employed Sleep Medicine Physician in Norwalk, Connecticut, located one hour outside of New York City in suburban Fairfield County and adjacent to Westchester County in New York. This is a unique opportunity to join a long-established teaching program with the opportunity for a faculty appointment. This position focuses on treating pediatric sleep medicine patients. Our practice includes seven full-time physicians. Norwalk Hospital has a one-year Sleep Medicine Fellowship program. Our practice is a collegial group with a strong commitment to teaching.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in sleep medicine, either with a pediatrics or internal medicine background. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. In addition to the Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine fellowships, Norwalk Hospital houses Internal Medicine and Radiology residencies, and a Gastroenterology fellowship. As a teaching hospital, we are a branch campus of the University of Vermont College of Medicine. We are also affiliated with the Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine through our teaching programs. Our employed Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Norwalk Hospital is ideally situated in Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk is rich in cultural diversity and offers many venues for 4 season outdoor and indoor recreation. There are highly rated public and private schools and universities in our area. $185,000 - $225,000 (Part-time, 0.6 FTE), commensurate or relative to experience.
