Starting Pay: $26.27 hourly PURPOSE/SUMMARY (Brief overview of why job exists, general purpose for position) The purpose of this job description is to identify the job responsibilities and skills necessary to perform in the technical duties required by a Senior Maintenance Technician. The Senior Maintenance Technician installs, maintains and repairs machinery and equipment. They are also responsible to maintain physical structures including plumbing and electrical systems in an industrial environment. In the process of performing their job, will keep the facilities and property in a clean, safe and orderly condition. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List of 8 # 10 key tasks required of the job which are essential to the performance of this job) All functions of the Maintenance Technician plus the following: Maintain all heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment (HVAC) Maintain and install electrical services per NEMA, state and local codes. Maintain and service equipment controls including programmable logic controllers. Install and maintain NC and CNC manufacturing equipment, including milling machines, lathes and specialty manufacturing devices and equipment. Assist management in the development of plant layout sketches from verbal instructions to effect value stream relocation including production equipment with related services locations. Includes relocations of offices and other building components. Includes the implementation of such arrangements. Understand tolerance specifications used with machinery/equipment design and servicing which can run in the tenths or thousandths. Troubleshoot complex electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to report maintenance activities. Verbally keeps the manager informed of activities. Requires a high degree of judgement, initiative and ingenuity to work independently to achieve assigned functions. Ability to lead and train. Be on call 24 hours for emergency conditions such as electrical or plumbing failures, fire and/or adverse weather conditions. Work overtime as assigned. Responsible for prioritizing daily work requests and preventative maintenance work orders. Job entails close liaison with senior management, tool makers, manufacturing engineers, machinists and production employees. Must interact positively and prioritize their needs. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent Qualified training with a minimum of 5 years of experience covering all facets of the required duties and responsibilities and using equipment listed. Potential Candidates will be required to take an abilities test CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Formal training/certification and documented equivalent experience is require in machinery repair, HVAC maintenance, electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics. Six Sigma Green Belt a plus. Associate's Degree a plus. Current and valid driver license with a good driving record.
