NBT Bank Senior Business Analyst in Norwich, New York
Pay Range: $69,066.00 - $92,081.00
Responsible for the development, maintenance, analysis and distribution of critical and standardized reports and dashboards. Collaborate with assigned lines of business, finance, IT and other areas to develop credit models, facilitate MIS and data accuracy, and related reporting. This position willbe accountable for workingon multiple projects and to analyze data and develop reporting on a timely basis to support senior management decision making.
Education and Experience:
3-5 years’ work experience in business intelligence, analytics, or comparable required
Bachelor’s degree in finance, data analytics, business or information systems, or equivalent education and experience, preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other software applications required. Process mapping and data lineage documentation and related software (Visio or similar tool) preferred. Aptitude to develop a working knowledge of bank loan systems and reporting, with knowledge of data warehouse and reporting systems preferred. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management.Self-motivated professional including the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to work on multiple projects under critical time constraints while maintaining overall quality.
Tasks Performed:
35% Responsible for the development, maintenance and distribution of standardized reports and dashboards for assigned line of business and business-area committees. This may include assembly of the monthly reporting packages, quarterly summary reporting, preparation of monthly operating committee reports, and other critical reports as assigned.
25% Support the line of business/business partners to include assisting with the implementation and operation of data tools, data mining, developing and analyzing reports, and working with the business lines on any data issue resolution. Provide system support including implementing system upgrades and analyzing the potential impact of new releases in the applicable platforms.
25% Collaborate with lines of business, departments or bank divisions to fulfill report design requirements, analyze and interpret data through the leverage of multiple data warehouse or dashboard systems. Validate, interpret, summarize observations and provide recommendations where appropriate.
10% Assist in the development, preparation, and support of division and committee reports including but not limited to ERM/KRI reporting and related data analytics.
5% Perform other duties as assigned.
