Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant located in Novato, California. The HR Assistant will play a crucial role in managing our company’s most valuable resources: our employees. This includes both strategic and functional responsibilities, encompassing recruitment, personnel management, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and training and development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.

• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, and motivation of human personnel.

• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.

• Report on and manage recruitment and selection processes.

• Conduct onboarding and training procedures.

• Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management and stay up-to-date with the latest HR federal and state laws.

• Develop and administer compensation and benefits plans.

• Address employee grievances and solve problems to maintain the overall employee job satisfaction.

• Promote a positive and open work environment where every employee feels comfortable, respected, and listened to.

• Manage HR operations and provide an excellent internal client experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role

• Proficiency in ADP Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Experience with Ceridian and HRMS software

• Knowledge in using About Time for time tracking and management

• Proficient in handling Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Demonstrated knowledge of Compliance procedures in HR

• Strong skills in Employee Relations management

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various departments and levels of management

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field is preferred

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits, and employee issues

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
