Responsibilities:
The Structural Engineer will predesign engineering support for facility and production area activities in Cat 2, 3/Non-Nuclear and Balance of Plant facilities and Backbone Infrastructure Utilities. The responsibilities for the design engineers are:
Provide design output documentation to support minor facility modifications. The types of design output documents typically developed by a structural design engineer within the Mission Engineering organization are drawings, engineering instructions, data sheets, equipment specifications, equivalency evaluations, calculations, etc.
Familiarity with and experience in developing designs in accordance with ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1), and a variety of CSA related issues relative to non-reactor nuclear facilities, natural phenomena events, structural rehabilitation, and building evaluations. Must also be familiar with consensus design codes.
Works with other engineering disciplines and other plant organizations to produce timely design output.
Experience in an NRC or DOE regulated environment is desirable. Requires an understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, Conduct of Maintenance for facilities operating within a nuclear regulated environment.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited school.
5 Years of experience.
Must be US citizen.
Successful drug screening.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.
Location/Work Arrangement:
This position is located in Oak Ridge, TN.
Preferred Qualifications:
Q Clearance is preferred.

Starting compensation for this role typicallysalary ranges between $96,000 - $165,000 annuallyis commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
