Highland General Hospital Cardiovascular Services Product-Equipment Coordinator in Oakland, California

SUMMARY: Under general direction the Cath Lab - Cardiovascular Services Product Coordinator is an embedded Supply Chain Department employee responsible for tracking products to ensure proper recording and documentation in EPIC for patient records and revenue capture and managing and maintaining appropriate inventories of critical products and equipment used in the department.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.

  1. Enters patient charges for products into appropriate databases.

  2. Manages stock and non-stock inventory levels based on approved PARs.

  3. Manages product expiration dates to prevent loss of inventory and waste.

  4. Reviews Charge Description Master (CDM) review for appropriate reimbursement.

  5. Coordinates product conversion processes.

  6. Coordinates training/competencies related to products.

  7. Monitors consignment inventory.

  8. Performs various analysis, including products/usage for standardization purposes and cost analysis; makes recommendations.

  9. Manages product and equipment storage.

  10. Supports Supply Chain Operations and stocks other CS PAR locations in other departments as required.

  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Required Experience: Two years’ experience in Central Supply, Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology Supply Management or as a Cath Lab Technologist.

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
