Description
We are with a local organization looking for an experienced Procurement Agent.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and secure advantageous terms.
· Develop and implement procurement strategies, review and analyze costs, and track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
· Regularly review supplier performance in line with KPIs, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
· Oversee important supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and prices.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations.
· Prepare and process purchase orders in a timely manner to meet business needs.
· Manage every phase of the procurement process, which includes identifying opportunities to reduce procurement costs.
Requirements
· A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration is required.
· Prior experience as procurement officer, procurement agent, or another relevant role.
· Deep knowledge of supply chain management and understanding of market dynamics.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
· Strong negotiation and networking skills.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
· Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
