Your role at Clorox:

Clorox is on a margin transformation journey to combat extraordinary and unprecedented levels of inflationary headwinds and margin pressures. To enable this transformation, Clorox established the Margin Transformation Office with the goal to build a clear and highly actionable pipeline to deliver the company’s margin improvement targets.

The Margin Transformation Office’s vision is to drive transformational, enterprise-wide margin improvement through a sustainable pipeline, systematic approach, and rigorous value management. Key objectives include:

• Amplify, accelerate, and enable Clorox to achieve its strategic margin objectives (balancing in-year targets with a 3-year strategic horizon)

• Act as a control tower that provides transparency into overall margin transformation program delivery, risks, and tradeoffs

• Drive best practices to create a margin expansion mindset across the enterprise

• Facilitate the identification and formalization of cross-BU, and enterprise initiatives annually

The scope of the Margin Transformation Office is full Gross Margin, which includes both cost savings and revenue growth management activities. This global team drives margin transformation across all of Clorox, in partnership with executive leadership, business unit general managers, and functional leaders.

We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager FP&A-MTO that can support key financial project analysis and decision support for the most significant projects across margin enhancement including portfolio optimization, net revenue management, design-to-value, operational excellence, and network design.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide Financial Analysis Decision Support : When evaluating key project workstreams, you’ll offer financial analysis and decision-making support to guide strategic choices and resource allocation. Work with cross-functional team members to develop assumptions and inputs into project financials. Review accuracy and integrity of assumptions to ensure financial impact is appropriately captured.

  • Provide Insights and Recommendations : Your role includes analyzing data and providing insights to enhance value delivery. Escalate risk and mitigations related to financials and drive fiscal discipline within project teams by recommending adjustments to project tactics based on your findings.

  • Partner with Businesses and Corporate: Maintain regular communication with businesses and other stakeholders.

  • Support Value Tracking Status Reviews : Regular reviews with project teams and leadership will allow you to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities. These sessions foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Support Forecast and Close Processes : You’ll play a key role in supporting forecasting and financial close processes ensuring projects impact and value delivery are properly captured.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of professional work experience in Finance and Accounting

  • At least 3+ years of work experience on valuation, business planning, and cost accounting

  • SAP or other ERP systems experience

  • CPG industry experience preferred

  • Excellent technical understanding of valuation modeling (DCF, Perpetuity, IRR, WACC, etc), financial valuation techniques and cost accounting.

  • Strong analytical skills needed to evaluate and consolidate large quantities of data

  • Excellent written & verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills

  • Strong planning and organizing skills

  • Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements and interdependencies within financial statements

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence teams

  • Ability to work on cross-functional activities and form solid business relationships

  • Ability to take personal ownership and ensure timely resolution of issues

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • MBA, CPA, CFA a plus, but not required

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $121,900 - $240,100

–Zone B: $111,700 - $220,100

–Zone C: $101,600 - $200,100

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
