Diagnostic Imagining Administrative Coordinator – Mercy Allen Hospital (Oberlin, OH)

Shift/Schedule

  • Full Time - Scheduled for 40 Weekly Hours

  • Shift Times - Days/Afternoons (8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday)

Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position:

The Diagnostic Imagining Administrative Coordinator performs specialized office and clerical support tasks. The Coordinator operates with minimal supervision and may exercise independent judgment in completing assignments. The Coordinator upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists with payroll

  • Coordinates department ODH / Quality Assurance Program, calendars, and schedules meetings.

  • System coordinator / super user for Epic which includes training new users, including tech, radiologists, and secretaries. Update and maintain menus and tables. Troubleshooting and system corrections. Responsible for yearly update. Administrative level for printing and routing. Verifies & corrects all billing & transcription issues.

  • Serves as preliminary contact for the Diagnostic Imaging patients by:

  • Greeting patients in person or via telephone in a pleasant and professional manner.

  • Prioritizing patients according to practice guidelines.

  • Dispensing information about practice operations and / or relaying messages.

  • Interacting with the different ancillary services to complete patient schedules and resolve issues.

  • Performs clerical duties as required by the position to ensure the maintenance of an efficient department. Help maintain department binders. Assist in updating policies and procedures. Orders supplies

  • Maintain positive customer service attitude when dealing with the public and hospital personnel. Work effectively as a team member and uses collaborative approach to problem solving.

  • Keeps abreast of trends, developments, and practices by participating in continuing education courses and reading current literature. Participates in Hospital required education programs

  • Upload images into PACS, burn discs, and fix PACS issues.

  • Maintains technologists’ radiation badges and print out reports.

  • Assist with revenue entry and usage; verify issues and make corrections.

Employment Qualifications:

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

  • 2 Year/ Associates Degree (Preferred)

Skills/Experience:

  • 3 years office management experience in hospital/clinic setting (Required)

  • Computer skills (Required)

Working Conditions:

  • Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur

  • General office environment

  • May be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse

  • May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights
