POSITION TITLE -

Were seeking for aDSP-2 Mentor Support Professionalto join our TERI team!

The DSP-2 Mentor Support Professional is responsible for providing direct training, supervision, program planning, development, and documentation of program clients, including Active Treatment, Behavior Modification, BEST, CPR and SFA, in accordance with the individual education and program plans, and when emergencies warrant. The DSP-2 Mentor Support Professional will serve as a trainer and support directly to other instructors under the supervision of Center for the Arts Supervisors, Behavior Specialist, and Program Director. The DSP-2 Mentor Support Professional may be assigned to deliver whole-group training on topics identified by the supervisory team or Behavior Specialist.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • Responsible for directing the training, supervision, and management of program participants as assigned; ensuring individuals receive appropriate support and instruction.
  • Provides direct care and training to individuals with moderate to profound disabilities who may engage in aggressive, assaultive acting-out behaviors that require Behavior Emergency Safety Training (BEST) techniques.
  • Mentor and train instructors to support individuals who may engage in aggressive, assaultive acting-out behaviors that require BEST techniques.
  • Provide additional training to instructors during the last hour of their work shift to review participant program goals, data collection, behavior intervention plans, and activity plans.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining high instructional standards and a culture of professional behavior that is client centric with a focus on active support and teaching replacement skills for challenging behavior.
  • Develop and complete necessary documentation for data sheet development and documentation, semi-annual progress reports, annual goals, adaptive behavior support plan charts, communication logs, medication distribution, request forms, and report any incidents and injuries.

QUALIFICATIONS -

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), preferred Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Education
  • One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination in developmentally disabled individual, preferably in a day program setting.
  • Must be able to obtain Class B Drivers License with 2 Years Clean Driving Record

Salary Range -

$20.00 Hourly
