Aerotek Journeyman Electrician in Oceanside, California
Description:
Perform journey level electrical work in connection with maintenance testing, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, inspecting, modifying and overhaul of campus alarm, control and electrical systems, including equipment and components such as: fire alarm and sprinkler systems, ventilation and lighting control systems, interior communication and signaling devices and systems, and campus cable system for transmission of associated supervisory data control signals. Performs all required alarm system tests and maintenance and keeps accurate testing and system records.

Journey level experience and thorough and working knowledge of: 1. nominal voltage electrical systems 2. alarms and electronic control systems 3. low-voltage and communication systems 4. fire sprinkler systems 5. pump systems and controls 6. signaling systems and signal transmission systems
Thorough and working knowledge of: 1. electric motors and motor controllers 2. Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) 3. lighting controllers 4. metering systems 5. mechanical and electrical components of ventilation systems 6. renovations and alterations of electrical systems and voltage distribution systems
Thorough knowledge and experience reading and interpreting:
- blueprints
- as-builts
- wiring diagrams
- shop drawings
- schematics diagrams
- operating manuals
