The Opportunity:
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an A&T Specialist to join our team on 2nd shift (3pm - 11:10pm).
The A&T Specialist will be working within a team environment; the Cell Specialist will have responsibility for the assembly and disassembly of gas turbine engines and engine components. Candidate must display effective interaction and teamwork with team members, customers and all levels of management.
Additionally, the A&T Specialist will:
· Conducts the visual inspection of engine hardware and record findings on the applicable forms.
· Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
· Performs necessary rework of engine hardware.
· Maintain a clean and organize work area in accordance with established standards.
· Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts.
· Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
· Participate in continuous improvement training and development efforts.
· Strive to accomplish team quality and production goals.
· Test engine components such as interstage housings, gearbox housings, other Engine sub-assemblies, etc.
· Perform engine ship preparation.
· Engine test cell installation and test multiple programs.
· May train, provide guidance and assist in developing other team members
· Responsible and accountable for product safety and quality of work including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the company's Quality Policy.
· Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
· High School or GED.
· Current A&P license is a plus but will consider candidates with 1 to 2 years directly related experience without A&P license or mechanical background in automotive, motorcycle, small engine repair, etc.
· Able to use manual/robotic tools and torquing equipment to assemble and test multiple engine programs.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Physical Requirements:
· Capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
· Capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
· &nb sp; Must have grip strength of at least 50 lbs.
(Note -- must use a lift assist or assistance from other individual(s) when lifting in excess of 50 lbs.)
