Pay Range: $49.10-$81.02*

Director of Quality and Performance Improvement-Full Time-Day Shift-8a-4:30p

The Director of Quality of Management is a leader who is self-motivated, focused on excellence, and a team player. The individual must have knowledge of laws and regulations of federal, state, and local governmental agencies. The Director of Quality of Management responsibilities include managing, directing, and planning of all aspects of Quality and Risk Management. The Director is responsible for overseeing the hospital-wide quality management programs and works with hospital administration, departments, and the medical staff to monitor and evaluate the quality of delivery of patient care services within the hospital. Additionally, the director ensures there is proper compliance with all regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and hospital policies and procedures; and will work to develop, implement, and maintain quality assessment and improvement programs within the hospital with the performance improvement team members. The Director of Quality of Management provides oversight to the risk management processes hospital wide and closely collaborates with administrative leadership to ensure success. Additionally, the risk management must promote high quality, evidenced based practice, and evaluation of healthcare providers professional conduct to reduce risk and promote collegiate teamwork. Additionally, the Director of Quality of Management oversees and guides the core measure program, patient relations/privacy, and infection control. The Director of Quality Management will coordinate the Patient Safety Management Program, Performance Improvement, Accreditation, Risk Management, Core Measures, Grievance process and Infection Control to meet the requirements of DNV and the New York Statutes.

EDUCATION:

Required:

Associate's degree in Nursing

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or a related field

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Required:

Registered Nurse with current NYS licensure

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Previous experience in Performance Improvement or Risk Management

Preferred:

Clinical experience
