CHMC –Hemo Mini Unit- RN – Full Time- Day Shift- 6a-4p – Requisition 7325
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving dialysis in both an inpatient and ambulatory setting. Strong emphasis on psychosocial support through patient teaching and interpersonal communication. This nurse interacts with a population of chronically ill, long-term patients and must perform technical skills repeatedly with scrupulous attention to detail. Patience and a sense of humor are critical to patient/staff relationships. On call rotation will be required. Qualifications:
- Current N.Y.S. RN license required 2. Current BLS Certification 3. Eighteen (18) months experience in nursing care of patients receiving maintenance dialysis preferred. 4. Completion of the basic CAPD course 5. Demonstrates knowledge of growth & development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care. 6. Demonstrates interest in professional growth and development. 7. Mini-EKG course preferred. 8. One (1) year previous critical care or Med/Surg nursing experience preferred.
