Cardinal Health Product Manager, Product Management and Development in Ohio

Outcomes™ is seeking an experienced Product Manager to develop the next generation of solutions to help pharmacists practice at the top of their license and deliver clinical services beyond filling prescriptions.

This position will be a part of Outcomes™, a digital ecosystem connecting pharmacists, payers and pharmaceutical companies to mitigate the challenges of medication non-adherence. Outcomes delivers digital health solutions for personalized medication therapy management, digital patient engagement, and telepharmacy, viaits Connect™ platform,so these three customer groups can improve patient adherence to medication, drive better health outcomes for patients, and lower the cost of care.

What Product & Services Development contributes to Cardinal Health

Product and Services Development is responsible for researching, developing, and launching new products for the company. Responds to company initiatives by driving new products to meet customer needs.

  • Analyzes market research, trends, projections and innovations to formulate new product concepts and designs.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge to define the business dynamics necessary to consider portfolio expansion including market size, barriers to entry, differentiated value, regulatory assessment and existing portfolio alignment.
  • Possesses the expertise to establish and/or coordinate a commercialization strategy to include product proforma, branding and sales strategies, communication vehicles, training and pilot site deployment.
  • Consults with vendor/supplier partners as required for product development.
  • Operationalizes product launch with coordination of broader customer engagement.
  • Uses project management skills to manage projects from initiation through closing to successfully meet project objectives.

Daily Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Work with retail pharmacy customers to discover problems and develop solutions to enable better pharmacist and patient experience
  • Analyze market opportunity to develop solutions that are business valuable and market viable
  • Ongoing focus on new reimbursable pharmacy clinical service offerings and the tools needed for successful program implementation
  • Exhibits an ability to translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business
  • Accountable for gaining and driving cross functional support from all stakeholders
  • Identifiesand remains current on market trends. Determines product/service lifecycle implications and makes recommendations to maintain market competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic success
  • Understands methods available to execute primary research (VOC) that are necessary to drive portfolio/ product decisions
  • Can identify market opportunities through VOC/secondary research and takes action by implementing and managing solutions that meet customer needs
  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general businessenvironment. Understandsand can demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, deal structure and assessing financial implications
  • Works effectively across cross functional groups including but not limited to IT, communications, operations, and sales
  • Individual exhibits strong cross functional team interaction skills applying new product development management skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 4-8 years experience
  • Experience in retail pharmacy operations or development of pharmacy clinical programs a plus.
  • Experience with innovation methodologies and product management discipline highly preferred
  • A Covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this position. This includes either:
  • -2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine
  • -1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
