Custom Built Design & Remodeling Sales Advisor in Okemos, Michigan

Job Summary:

Our Advisors research prospective clients from our marketing database, build trust with them through video based communication and educational assignment selling techniques, and turn them into qualified sales opportunities.

The Project Development Advisor cultivates prospects through their own marketing, networking and lead generation efforts; and, Custom Built will provide leads to the Project Development Advisor from inquiries made directly through Custom Built.

This position will primarily take place from 7:30 AM - 5 PM but may require appointments outside of the standard business hours. Because of the occasional evening and weekend calls, the work hours are flexible. The expectation is no less than 40 hours per week.

The Project Development Advisor makes sales calls, sends 1:1 & 1:many videos to every prospect & client, prospects for clients, attends networking events, maintains client relationships, follows the structured Custom Built sales process and ensures that jobs under construction are running smoothly.

In this role, you will:

  1. Follow the sales process using HubSpot to qualify leads through assignment selling techniques via calls, video, emails, and social media.
  2. Create and send 1:1 videos to your clients through every stage of the buying process.
  3. Work collaboratively with Sales Management to develop and implement appropriate prospecting strategies for today's modern buyer.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing department by sharing any problem, worry, concern, issue, and question your prospects and clients have.
  5. Be an enthusiastic participant in the Custom Built Proven Process - quarterbacking each project from concept through completion.
  6. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner while working to increase sales and sales potential in the target market.
  7. Be passionate about educating, leading, and helping our clients complete their remodel project
  8. Assure timely and accurate communication with clients.
  9. Address project needs swiftly and accurately, building a relationship of trust with clients.
  10. Maintain working knowledge of new products and industry trends by reading industry publications and attending industry development sessions.
  11. Actively participate in at least (1) networking group(s) on a consistent basis
  12. Aid in the creation of marketing materials (blogs and videos) by serving as a Subject Matter Expert to share insights learned while guiding your clients along the buyer's journey.
  13. Actively engage in content development through interviews, editing and recording at least 5x per month.
  14. Complete the initial sales pricing sheet with budget range for the project so that estimating and accompanying paperwork (known as the set of construction documents) can be performed as efficiently as is necessary for production to perform all duties as written in the contract.
  15. Maintain optimum timeframes through the design, sales, and production processes.
  16. Handle special projects as assigned by the Sales Manager.
  17. Efficiently and effectively utilize programs such as HubSpot and BuilderTrend.
  18. Follow all company processes, policies and procedures including the EOS system & Assignment Selling framework.
  19. Utilize various computer programs/systems to increase efficiency, communication, and performance of duties.
  20. Develop and foster positive and effective working relationships with all team members; and work harmoniously and collaboratively with team members to accomplish organizational objectives.
  21. Attend onsite meetings including Quarterly State of the Company, sales quarterly, sales meetings/coaching as required. Develop sales skills through participation in weekly assignment selling.
  22. Perform other duties as assigned.
