BASIC PURPOSE:
We are seeking a qualified individual to help our growing and fast paced Corporate Print Shop. Responsibilities include the finishing and assembling of signage that is produced with large format printing equipment as well as packaging and palletizing rollouts for shipping up to 600+ locations. The appropriate candidate should possess the following qualities: a hard work ethic, strong attention to detail, schedule/deadline management and quality control/quality assurance skills. Applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet business demands and overtime when necessary.
This is a full-time position.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Checks job set-up parameters with the job ticket specifications to ensure accurate finishing.
Carries out fabrication and finishing on new and completed print jobs.
Performs trimming, sanding, taping, coiling, binding and any other finishing needs.
Pack signage/products using standard bubble or foam wrap and box according to size needs.
Pack and band pallets using standard materials and protectors. Construct custom size pallets using standard lumber and hardware.
Kit/package boxes for rollouts that ship to 600+ locations at a time.
Communicates with supervisor and senior press crew to verify production schedules and instructions.
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly and organized condition.
Performs material handling and deliveries as directed by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Work experience in a production or packaging environment.
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Skills:
Strong verbal and oral communication skills, keen attention to detail, ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills, flexible and self-motivated to take on additional tasks.
Must be a team player that is detail-orientated and thorough in completing work tasks.
· Physical Demands:
Requires prolonged standing along with repetitive bending and stooping motions.
Lifting up to 100 pounds.
Requires normal range of hearing, vision and motion.
Shift work is common, as is overtime in order to meet deadlines.
