rResponsibilities
rThe Etchegaray Lab{target="_blank" rel="noopener"} is currently hiring for a Research Technician who will design, perform and analyze complex research experiments. Organizes, interprets, and communicates data to supervisor and co-workers. Modifies protocols to improve processes. Documents work appropriately. Troubleshoots problems in lab. May provide guidance to research staff, graduate students, and post docs. Collaborates, builds constructive relationships, and effectively communicates with other members of the lab. Works independently, but seeks assistance when needed. Operates highly specialized equipment requiring moderate to high degree of skill. Expected to perform more advanced techniques after appropriate training. Ability to work well with others is essential.
The Etchegaray Lab in the Aging and Metabolism Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) seeks to understand the intersection between tissue metabolism and inflammation during aging, with a particular interest in the eye, the brain, and the tissue resident macrophages that populate these organs. As such we are looking for a highly motivated research technician that will help us understand this exciting scientific question.

rQualifications
rrrrBachelors degree typically in one of the biological sciences and/or equivalent years of relevant laboratory experience. Should be familiar with basic biochemistry or molecular biology lab techniques.rrrr
