Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking a Senior Lead Systems Engineer in the Oklahoma City, OK in support of the USAF E-7A program. This position within the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) organization will implement and use Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodology and system modeling tools to perform design, manage the System Architecture Models, Business process models including interfaces, key performance parameters, and operational concepts for the Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) platform. The candidate will be a member of a dynamic and diverse Systems Engineering team in Oklahoma City . This Level 5 position is located in Oklahoma City.

Position Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge in Systems Engineering, with ability to develop, lead, and teach Systems Engineering Management processes and best practices

  • Lead, identify, analyze, and review system engineering deliverables (e.g., interface control drawings, requirements, statements of work, design specifications, test operations procedures, change proposals, deficiency reports, exceptions, etc.) associated with system designs in order to achieve requirements

  • Develop and support basis of certification in accordance with Military Commercial Derivative FAA Airworthiness Certification

  • Lead, review, and stage enterprise standard gated process (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, Airworthiness Certification and Equipment Qualification)

  • Check and review for reuse, commonality, and productivity improvement on overall architecture

  • Coordinate and collaborate across stakeholders (e.g., engineering, EHS, technicians, quality, leadership, customers, etc.) to ensure program requirements are integral to all activities and operations

  • Sustain and support the development of Systems Engineering planning, requirements, analysis tools, and data packages

  • Support preparation of presentations, analyses, and reports for government/customer and boards, working groups, and program design reviews

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 10+ years of systems engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Aerospace industry experience in integrating system level requirements into a complex platforms or systems

  • Knowledgeable in FAA Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft and Military certification

  • Experienced in Systems Engineering fundamentals such as requirement validation/verification, functional integration, and Concept of Operations

  • Familiarity with RTCA/DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, DO-313, FAA 14 CFR Part 25

  • Preferred experience utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering tools like Cameo

  • Experience with aerospace systems engineering, together with the ability to visualize how information technology opportunities might be used to further the goals of the organization

  • Preferred experience presenting technical information, analyses, or proposals to senior leaders, regulators, or customers

  • Technical competency and skills with project management concepts/tools

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree typically 14 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Summary pay range: $136,850 – $185,150
