We are seeking resumes for anAccount Manager-Hexacomb-Texas and Oklahoma territories

Hexacomb is a leader in kraft paper-based honeycomb protective packaging product and serves key industries that value product protection coupled with environmental sustainability. This includes furniture, consumer, automotive, textile, food, building products, energy, glass, and industrial. Hexacomb has nine manufacturing plants in North America.

The Account Manager develops and leads the creation of the market/sales plan for growth and profitability for Hexacomb products, as prioritized by Hexacomb leadership team. Develops professional sales presentations, which effectively position Hexacomb’s value in delivering solutions to market segment and customer needs.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Executes the sales plan, building sustainable business relationships through value-based solution sales.

  • Develops the operating plan dashboard of key prospects, with key performance metrics detailed by prospect and timing of business acquisition.

  • Negotiates solutions and price models that benefit the customer and drive profitable revenue growth.

  • Develops load plans and packaging solutions for customers. Works with Corporate Damage Prevention Managers to reduce damage on rail/truck shipments.

  • Supports other account managers in territory and out, with a focus on sales and new product development.

  • Works with inside sales team to follow up on leads generated by internet and call in number.

  • Administrative monthly and weekly reporting of results understand and update Sales CRM database. Update 30/60/90 target reports.

  • Maintains and manages established customer accounts for volume and profit.

    Basic Qualifications

  • BA or industrial equivalent in consultative sales.

  • Strong computer, with ability to rapidly extract data and information for better decision-making.

  • Technical knowledge about the manufacturing and shipping process, in particular in the packaging element.

  • Training experience in sales processes, client management, and product development.

  • Business administration training experience, which provides for the development of a financial “sell” based upon efficiency and cost savings.

  • Ability to travel up to 40% by air, car, and stay overnight, as necessary.

  • Ability to effectively communicate Hexacomb’s value proposition, while modifying as appropriate for market segment and customer needs.

  • Ability to negotiate win-win solutions in complex market environment.

  • Ability to position custom solutions to new customers and evolve opportunities with current customers.

  • Strong desire to achieve goals and motivate one’s self in a relatively autonomous environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret basic CAD drawings.

  • Customer sales and marketing

  • Solid analytical math skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Packaging Engineer or Design background
